Two-factor sign-in

Two-factor sign-in is required before you can add devices or connect. It stops someone who learns your password or email code from reaching your computers.

Set it up

1. On your dashboard, click Turn on two-factor sign-in.
2. Add the key to an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password. On a phone, tap Open in authenticator app.
3. Enter the 6-digit code the app shows.

From then on, each sign-in asks for a code from the app after your email code, password or Google sign-in.

Lost your phone

If your authenticator app syncs to the cloud, restore it on a new phone. Otherwise, email support from the address on your account. For your security, we verify ownership before resetting two-factor sign-in, which can take up to two business days.
